Adding a custom domain to your Pixul AI white-label site allows your business to maintain a fully branded presence. By following this guide, you can set up a custom domain, such as design.yourdomain.com, or even a root domain like yourdomain.com, and point it to your white-label Pixul AI platform.
Overview
This process involves:
- Sending us the desired name for your custom domain or subdomain
- Receiving TXT records for certificate validation from Pixul AI.
- Adding the provided TXT records to your DNS provider.
- Activating and testing your custom domain after validation is complete.
A Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Submit Your Desired Custom Domain Name
Send us your desired domain or subdomain name (e.g., design.yourdomain.com or yourdomain.com) via email or support ticket. We’ll set up a custom hostname and provide the necessary DNS records for validation.
Step 2: Receive Validation Details
Pixul AI will send you two TXT records for certificate validation:
- Certificate Validation Record
- Hostname Pre-Validation Record
Step 3: Add TXT Records to Your DNS
Log in to your DNS provider (e.g., Namecheap, GoDaddy) and add the provided TXT records exactly as instructed.
-> Adding a TXT Record in Namecheap
This guide assumes you have a Namecheap account with at least one domain. Follow these steps to add a TXT record:
1. In your Namecheap dashboard, go to the Domain List.
2. Find the domain you want to configure and click the Manage button.
3. Open the Advanced DNS tab at the top of the domain’s settings page.
4. Under Host Records, click Add New Record.
5. Choose TXT Record as the record type.
6. Enter the TXT record details provided by Pixul AI (repeat this for both records).
7. Once the details are entered, review and save your changes.
-> Adding a TXT Record in Godaddy
This guide assumes you have a GoDaddy account with at least one domain. Follow these steps to add a TXT record:
1. Sign in to your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio.
2. Select an individual domain to access the Domain Settings page.
3. Select DNS to view your DNS records.
4. Select Add New Record and then select TXT from the Type menu.
5. Enter the TXT record details provided by Pixul AI (repeat this for both records).
6. Select Save to add your new record. If you added multiple records at the same time, select Save All Records.
Step 4: Wait for Validation
DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate. Pixul AI will activate your custom domain once validation is successful.
Step 5: Test Your Custom Domain
Visit your custom domain to ensure it correctly resolves to your Pixul AI platform.
